In January 2010 a group of community leaders formed and organized the Adena Mansion & Gardens Society to manage the site for the Ohio Historical Society. The first 2010 season under the AMGS management was very successful with a site attendance over 11,000 visitors. The 2010 events included a 10K & 5K Kill the Hill Race, Spring Awakening, Pioneer Days, Hog Gone Wild, Garden Lectures, Thomas Jefferson enactor, Heirloom Plant Sale, Harvest Days, Band Concert, Tomato Tasting, Wreath Decorating and Holidays at Adena. The site rental business was a success with 4 weddings and several site rentals.

The Adena Mansion & Gardens Society is committed to the preservation and promotion of AMG, the Legacy of Thomas Worthington and family, and to help people connect and understand Adena’s role and presence in Ohio history.
